We center the plate on the lens axis and position it well forward to improve the camera's balance on the tripod when using large lenses. The front curvature matches the line of the camera body and an integral locating pin mates with the body for secure alignment. Carefully machined to be smooth to the touch and not hang up when placing in a camera pack. Our, often copied, bi-directional design lets you mount the camera in either direction: use our C-90 right angle bracket, or switch from collared lenses to un-collared lenses without repositioning the tripod head. Fully ARCA compatible like all 4th Generation Designs plates. Mounts with the standard 1/4"-20 screw in the camera. Wrench provided. Weight: .9 ozs.
